Nina Jhita
Ms Jhita is a highly accomplished Chief Operating Officer with a career spanning over 10 years in project and change management within the NHS. She is recognised for her expertise in leading large-scale transformation programmes, workforce and digital transformation. With a proven track record of success, Nina has collaborated with national and international colleagues to implement impactful initiatives across the health sector. Her skills encompass digital automation, service transformation, workforce development and business development.
Ms Jhita, joined Modality, an award-winning large scale NHS GP super-partnership that operates primary health care and community services across the United Kingdom ten years ago. As Chief Operating Officer, Ms Jhita’s leadership and strategic capabilities have been instrumental in driving operational excellence and delivering services to a staff of 1800+. She has effectively managed core back-office functions, including human resource, workforce development, business intelligence, infrastructure, and communications. Additionally, Nina has led national transformations, implementing innovative solutions such as email consultations, cloud-based telephony, rota management systems, national and international recruitment and digital automation, all resulting in significant impact.
Ms Jhita has excelled in her role, overseeing the recruitment, management, and leadership of a number of diverse teams. She has spearheaded practice mergers and integrations, designed and implemented national training programs, facilitated the launch of staff intranet sites and a number of key group-wide initiatives. Ms Jhita’s ability to develop strategic business cases, secure multi-million-pound contracts and provide hands-on delivery nationally and internationally has been instrumental in the organisation's growth and success.
Prior to joining Modality, Ms Jhita was Portfolio Manager – Strategic Workforce at Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Partnership NHS Trust – an integrated community provider. She successfully managed a portfolio of strategic workforce projects to ensure delivery of the Trust’s workforce strategy and overall strategic goals. Leading a programme of work to develop and deliver strategic transformation; identifying and achieving multi-million pound efficiencies.
Ms Jhita is passionate about education, training and development and has designed and built training packages across primary care and NHS Trusts to help build operational and leadership capabilities. To completement this, Ms Jhita provides mentorship to cohorts of MBA students at UCL University. Ms Jhita is extremely passionate about demonstrating and embedding strong and diverse female leadership across general practice as well as designing and implementing innovative at-scale solutions to build a more sustainable and resilient set up across general practice and beyond.
Ms Jhita holds an MBA from Keele University, complemented by her Prince 2 Practitioner certification. She is proficient in all MS packages and possesses excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
To complement her current role, Ms Jhita enjoys volunteering as a Local Authority School Governor at Four Oaks Primary School, an outstanding rated primary school in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.
